The reality of what I’ve survived in my life is so ridiculous that sometimes it sounds fake, and asking for help has never come easily to me.
I survived a cult. I survived child marriage with an abuser. I finally got accurately diagnosed and treated for ADHD and autism. I survived homelessness with two young children. I escaped another abusive man who strangled me and threatened to end my life with his bare hands.
And God, I wish I was lying.
Asking for help is hard because, a lot of the time, even when help is offered kindly, there ends up being some unseen cost later. So even writing this feels difficult.
I work full time as an RN, but after my last relationship, the financial abuse devastated me, and I’m still living with the aftermath of it. I’ve started making money through my books and my Facebook posts, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me by buying my books, reacting to my posts, commenting, or simply reading what I write. Truly, it has brought me to tears.
If you want to support me, interacting with my posts helps more than people realize. Reactions, comments, and shares all help my writing reach more people. For anyone not on my Facebook, you can follow my personal account under Mileena Rose (Rayne). My real account is verified with the checkmark, so please be careful of fakes.
I also added my Cash App to my Linktree in case anyone ever wanted to help directly, but please know I do not expect that from anyone.
When I was homeless, I lost most of my belongings, and then even more was destroyed by a mouse infestation. Right now, I’m using the money I make from Facebook to replace furniture, make my home cozier, cleaner, and more organized for me and my kids, and get a few more things for the shelter kitties I brought home. Eventually, once the material things are covered, I want to use it to keep repairing the financial crisis I’m still living in.
Any help means more than I can explain, whether that’s buying a book, engaging with my posts, sending something directly, or just being here.
I don’t check my DMs much anymore because it has become too overwhelming, and I’ve had some bad experiences there, but I do see so many of your comments, and I’m thankful for the kindness you’ve shown me.
I promise that whatever money I make here is being used responsibly, and I hope it feels like a worthy cause in your eyes.
Thank you so much.
TLDR: I’ve survived a lot, including abuse, homelessness with my kids, and losing most of my belongings. I work full time as an RN, but I’m still rebuilding from financial abuse and everything that was lost or destroyed. Supporting my books, reacting/commenting/sharing my posts, or using the Cash App in my Linktree if you want all genuinely helps me rebuild a safer, cozier home for me, my kids, and my shelter kitties. I don’t expect anything, but I’m deeply grateful for every bit of support.
