I’ve been working on a project that means so much to me: rewriting my first book, The Silence.
At its heart, it’s still the same story, but I’m weaving in lore I created after the original was written and applying everything I’ve learned about crafting scenes, pacing, dialogue, and character development. I want the world to feel more lived in, the characters more grounded, and the story less like a lore dump and more like a place you can truly step inside.
I’m incredibly excited to finish this project. The Silence will always be special to me because it was the first book I ever completed, set in a world I created from nothing. It has also become the gateway into my larger universe, so I want to give it the depth and care it always deserved. I even revamped the cover to better reflect the style of my more recent books.
Thank you to everyone who has taken a chance on my stories and walked beside me through this world. The Blood of the Wild Gods universe is my passion, my obsession, and my escape. I can’t imagine a time when I’ll ever stop creating in it.
