Light itself, harvested as material. The Weaver of Sorrows tells how the seer Malritha would wait until the full moon hung heavy, climb to the highest spire of her temple, and with a spindle carved from driftwood and fingers dipped in saltwater gather moonlight from the air like silver silk, winding it onto bobbins made from the vertebrae of deep-sea creatures. Where the light touched her fingers it sank into her skin and emerged again as thread—the raw light of heaven woven into something tangible.
